1D became butterflies! After learning about the parts of a plant and the pollination process, we learned that not all flowers are the same. Some flowers are really hard to pollinate! It takes a special insect to spread the pollen from certain flowers. We read a story about a girl's plant from another country. No insects in her hometown could pollinate it! So, we designed hand pollinators. We engineered our own designs, planning, creating, testing out, and improving our hand pollinators. We had a blast!
This week, we are very excited to have Miss Dittman, our student teacher, teaching us full time! While our regular teacher, Ms. D. is still in the classroom and available to help if we need her, Miss Dittman is in charge for the next two weeks! With Miss Dittman, we have been learning all about frogs and pairs of numbers that make ten. If you have any questions, please call or email Ms. D.!
We also want to welcome a new teammate to our classroom! We are very glad to have our new student!
Remember that conferences are coming up the week of October 17. Check your child's planner for a note with your conference time. See you then!
